KRIEGSMARINE COMMANDER GLASS – ERNST LEITZ beh 8 X 60

The fat model commander glass by Ernst Leitz.
An interesting pair of binoculars because we do not see them that often, usually it’s the
Carl Zeiss 8 x 60 binoculars which appear on the market.
In comparison with the Zeiss this binocular comes out on top.
If anything it is even easier to use, focusing is simply done by turning the eyepieces
instead of focusing with a screwdriver like the Zeiss 8 x 60.
The viewer comes equipped with demoisturizing cartridges for use at sea.
The blue lens coating is completely smooth.
The black rough texture on the outside is also beautiful and complete.
Recently these binoculars have been completely checked, cleaned and adjusted again.
The viewer is now optically perfect and provides a beautiful clear image.
This viewer is still completely original with the original protective rubber, often this has disappeared from the 8 x 60,
of course there are some dry cracks all round because of its age.
Complete with leather strap.
