KRIEGSMARINE SEXTANT BY PLATH HAMBURG 1943

Kriegsmarine sextant of Plath in a lattice frame of black coated aluminum numbered on the Protractor 24716.
Index arm with micrometer wheel, Kriegsmarine logo, clearly engraved is the German eagle clutching an orb of the world with swastika.
Scale of -5 ° to 125° degrees.
The sextant is equipped with:
Two mirrors
Four colored Sun glasses
Three horizon glasses
Telescope
Key for the mirror adjustment
Beautiful clear scale and good telescope, on the scale the logo of Plath "the Sun-Shooter"
Handle of Bakelite with again the commercial logo of "the Sun-Shooter".
The instrument was in use after the war within the American Merchant Navy,
the instrument is also approved by Keefer & Company, last at 5th May 1946.
The instrument and both test certificates having matching numbers.
Original pine wood chest with dovetail connections.
Size case: 32 x 32 x 17 cm.
