19TH CENTURY SHIP’S TELESCOPE WITH FLAGS

Ships telescope which was used aboard ships in the middle of the 19th century.
The tube is covered with camel brown leather sporting a map with signal flags.  
Made by John Crichton around 1850-1870.
Options are an extending sun cap and a separate object lid.  
Easy to focus, good optics.  
Nice smooth condition.  
Length closed 62 cm. (24.5 inches)  
Extended 76 cm. (30 inches)
