A FINE CASED PAIR OF 2ND WW GERMAN KRIEGSMARINE BINOCULARS BY LEITZ

Offered for sale a classic pair 2nd world war binocular used by the kriegsmarine.
The synthetic leather around the two tubes and eyepieces is in very nice condition.
Stamped 7x50 on the cover plate and the maker's name Ernst Leitz.
Series number 298524 and the navy number 19480.
This is an early pair of binoculars 1930-1940 the beh code has not yet been used.
This early model is often photographed on U-Boats but was also used on other Krieg marine vessels, this earl model is not T Coated.
To protect the oculars; a Bakelite eyepiece cap with the original rubber elastic cord, also the leather neck strap is original!
The optics are bright and clear, easy to focus and recently fully serviced.
The height of the binoculars is 8¾ inches [22 cm]
Contained in its original black leather case with white stitching the bag is in good condition all handles and
closures are complete and working.
The shoulder strap is of a later date, the top of the bag has the kriegsmarine logo.
Stamped in the edge of the case is stamped beh 1940.
In the top of the bag there are four compartments for the eyepiece filters, in total there are
also four filters present in orange and yellow.
Orange and yellow filters can heighten the contrast in sparse light, snow and fog.
The case measures to an o/a height 10 inches [ 25 cm]
A particularly beautiful set.
